Wedding Color Palettes for Different Seasons

Wedding Color Palettes for Different Seasons

Who agrees that choosing a color palette for your wedding can be so intimidating? After all, there are SO many options to choose from! While you can’t go wrong with any color palette you enjoy, sometimes it can be helpful to consider the colors of the season you’re getting married in. You might love the idea of a burgundy theme, but if you’re getting married on a beach in July, it might be a little off-putting to the natural elements surrounding you.

Today, we at Village Bridal are going to share some ideas for color palettes based on the season you’re getting married in. Keep reading for inspo!

FALL WEDDING
(SEPTEMBER-NOVEMBER)

Fall weddings are the perfect opportunity to play around with darker shades - think burgundy, purples, reds, and rust shades. We love the look of gorgeous deep purple hues with cream as well. And pops of metallic and gold are always gorgeous with these color palettes!

If you’re still unsure, just look at the nature surrounding you and pick up on those colors. You can combine a mix of oranges, reds, and browns for a rustic vibe.

WINTER WEDDING
(DECEMBER-FEBRUARY)

Consider turning to winter weather to get your wedding color inspiration! You have a few different options here since it’s the holiday season as well. Opting for a color palette that picks up on wintery blues like icy pastels, gray, beige, and hints of silver is one gorgeous choice we love for a winter wedding.

You can also go for berry tones by picking colors like merlot, crimson, fire-engine red, or wine shades. Pair these with a gorgeous cream or ivory and pops of gold and you’ll be all set for your winter wonderland!

SPRING WEDDINGS
(MARCH-MAY)

Spring wedding colors are so pretty and versatile! You can really go in a ton of different directions with this season. Either pair pretty light shades like peach and baby blue, or go for a vintage vibe with lilac, yellow, and blush shades. And you can never go wrong with a classic green and ivory palette for a spring wedding!

Pretty shades of pink are super sweet for a spring wedding, too. Paired with gold and shades of ivory and champagne will really pull the whole wedding vibe together.

SUMMER WEDDINGS

(JUNE, JULY, AUGUST)

Summer weddings are so beautiful! Whether you’re getting married on a beach, in a garden, or on a rooftop, shades of blue, yellow, pink, orange, and yellow are perfect starters for a color palette. One great idea is to pick your favorite color to start with (like blue), and then incorporate lighter shades of blue into your color palette for variety like a periwinkle, turquoise, cyan, and aquamarine.
